Here's how your internship is structured and how you'll take on responsibility step by step.

Is this a match?

The most important basics – so we both know if it could work.

• 📍 Location: You can see yourself in our Cologne office (Belgisches Viertel) and are able to come in at least 2–3 days a week. Lond-term, a move to our Berlin or London office is on the table too
• 🇩🇪🇬🇧 Languages are no problem: You speak German and English fluently.
• ⚽ You know football: Amateur football isn't new to you – you've played yourself, are a club member or a fan with a real feel for what happens on and off the pitch.
• 🚀 Startup spirit: You'd rather shape things than just tick boxes – even when that means figuring stuff out without a finished roadmap. </aside>

⚽ What you'll do - your playing field

This is how you move our mission forward every day.

It swings between two modes, often in the same week:

• Strategy: The big picture. Which markets, which bets, which model. You dig into the numbers, build the case, and turn it into a plan we can actually act on.
• Execution: Hands-on. You talk to clubs and partners, build the process, automate the boring part, and turn the strategy into value before the week is over.

Your exact focus gets sharpened once we know you - the German market, the European level, or a specific initiative inside either. What won't change: you'll get problems, not a finished roadmap.

💪 What you bring to the team

We're not looking for a perfect CV. But you should recognise yourself in these points.

Two things matter:

• You're smart and you move. You break down a messy problem fast, decide with incomplete information, and get to a result instead of a plan for a result.
• You take ownership. Nobody will chase you. You see what's missing and close it - and you say it out loud when something we do is dumb.

The rest we'll figure out in a conversation.

• You've worked in a fast-paced environment before: startup, scale-up, consulting, VC or venture building.
• You use AI seriously in your daily work, not as a gimmick.
• You've built something yourself: a company, a project, a student initiative that actually shipped.
